In order to start writing our essays, we need to practice what we've been learning in desdobles during the second term. To make sure you have understood everything do the following exercises and you'll be familiar with all the connectors we've already studied:

Type 1: Advantages and disadvantages essay

When writing an advadtages and disadvantages essay:
·         Think about a topic and your opinión about it.
·         State the pros and cons against the topic in the next two paragraphs (2 &3)
·         Use examples to support the arguments you make.
·         Summarize your arguments and express your opinión in the last paragraph ( the conclusión)
·         Do not use informal language.

Plan
1st paragraph
Introduce the topic.
People think that……/ Many people feel that…. /Most people say that….
2nd paragraph
Present one side of the argument and give examples.
Firstly…/ On the one hand …/ For example…./ As a result…./ Moreover…/ Besides…/
3rd paragraph
Present the other side of the argument and give examples.
On the other hand…/ On the contrary…/ However…/ Consequently…/ For instance…/
4th paragraph
Summarize your arguments and give your opinión.
